Why ask mentors for support?
What is Mentorship?
Mentorship is a project of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to which the University of Bari Aldo Moro has joined to support you in university difficulties and beyond. Just request an appointment, by registering on the site https://unimentorship.it/
with your email, to have the support of one of our tutors.
What can I ask for help with?
To solve administrative and didactic problems. Specifically, difficulties with documents, in communicating with professors, with booking exams, with scholarships, with finding books, with study programs, with university material, accommodation and much more.
Can I only turn to mentors if I have problems?
Absolutely not! We are here to always support you. Compatibly with the evolution of the health emergency, we will schedule several meetings to get to know each other better, to socialize and share moments together.
And the language?
Mentorship also aims to help you improve the use of the Italian language. For this we will organize linguistic tandems. Will the usual boring lessons be? No, because the language is not learned only from books but also and above all thanks to daily interactions. It will also be an exchange: we will help you with Italian and you will help us by teaching your language.
Is Mentorship just university?
No, Mentorship is support and socialization. Soon the Uniba Mentorship Committee will also give life to other activities such as the screening of films, evenings dedicated to the theater and board games with the aim of creating a network of friendship and mutual support.
How do I request my first support?
After registering on the site https://unimentorship.it/, you can access the section of the University of Bari. Click on “request support” and after choosing the day you prefer you will receive our confirmation email in which we will give you all the directions to solve your problem.
